Time for a Public Service Announcement
The other week I received my copy of Kubrick's Lost Diary of a Goth Girl. I know, you're probably tired of hearing about this, but upon looking through the booklet and talking with Zer0 from the band, the project has a special place in my heart. The album addresses abuse in all forms: domestic, self-inflicted, related to drugs and alcohol, etc. Abuse between a father towards his family, boyfriends obsessed with their girlfriends. Abuse by means of the physical, mental or emotional. This album brings a voice to victims who never had a chance to speak out for themselves. The photography included in the booklet not only from myself, but a few others as well, are visual representations to better illustrate the lyrics. Being a victim myself from years past, I'm am extremly proud and honored to be a part of this project.
So in conjunction with this album, I am happy to announce a permanent service: free photo sessions for victims of domestic violence. Starting over and regaining who you once were before the abuse is never easy. These sessions will be structured to help encourage, strengthen and rebuild your self-esteem and your self-worth, and to start living the live you were meant to live. The portfolio section is finally completed and online. The scans of the images used in
Kubrick's latest album Lost Diary of a Goth Girl can be found under the misc section. The coursework section has also been updated featuring all work done in 2008.
